The other night, Michael came home with a helium balloon. Elias was, of course, very amused by it. He was giggling and going crazy, watching it float up in the air.
Then Elias looked at the balloon and said, "qi qiu, qi qiu, qi qiu." I looked at Andy and said, "I didn't teach him that." Andy said the same thing. Michael, the same. So we wonder, HOW DOES ELIAS KNOW?! I don't remember ever saying "balloon" in Chinese to him. I guess kids really do pick up everything we say.
